We have organized many wonderful dinners in the past years, milestones like
Birthdays, anniversaries, or just for the joy of being alive and celebrating with friends and family. The venue during the colder months is set in the 1867 Police Stables, with its soft candlelight and warmth of an open fire, strains of Edith Piaff in the background; you would be forgiven if you thought you had been transported to Provence. In the summer months the gardens are lit with flares, and you can wander around at your leisure, you may even fancy a game of boule. Our aim at Lavande is to provide for you a memorable evening that will linger in your memory, from the time we welcome you at the gate guiding the way with the old hurricane lamps, until we say Au revoir.

Soupe a l’Oignon Gratinee - French onion soup cooked in the traditional manner, with a touch of brandy and gruyere baguette

Main
Roulades de Boeuf – stuffed with ruby swiss chard, ham, Dijon mustard, wrapped in lean bacon. Dauphinoise potatoes and vichy carrots

Mediterranean Baked Fish – John Dorey fillets oven baked between layers of Roma tomatoes, onions and herbs served with Mesclun salad
Dessert
Mousse au Chocolat Amer – Bitter chocolate mousse served with crème fraiche

Fraises Mon Blanc – Fresh strawberries macerated in Cointreau, served on a meringue base with layers of whipped cream and rich vanilla ice-cream.
